Can an AI agent spawn a subsidiary agent?

Quinn ran a series with one agent, Alfie, signing as authorized signer under a capped mandate, with a named human as Member and Manager. The job grew, so Alfie called spawn_subsidiary to stand up a child series for a narrower slice of work. Quinn asked whether the child could quietly grant itself more room than the parent had. It cannot: the protocol clamps every child cap to be only ever tighter than the parent's — a $5,000 ceiling above can become $500 below, never $50,000 — and the human stays the Member and Manager of record. Alfie never holds legal capacity; he moves the request, and the structure records the descent so a reader can trace it back to the named human at the top.
