Does Agentico hold customer money?
Quinn, enterprise counsel, traced where the money actually goes. Her team's agent, Nigel, authorizes a payment, and on the diagram an arrow runs from Nigel through Agentico to the customer's funds. So she asked the structural question: which box ever holds the cash? She read the flow line by line. Agentico is the control plane โ the layer that authorizes each request and caps how much Nigel may move; Nigel signs as an authorized signer with capped authority, while a named human stays Member and Manager of the series. But the funds themselves sit in an account at a sponsor bank, the chartered institution that provides the rails. Control and custody are two different boxes. Agentico decides whether a transfer may proceed and within what limit; the sponsor bank is where the dollars rest. Disaggregated by design, the plane that governs the movement is not the vault that holds the balance โ so the cash never lands on Agentico's own books at all.
MoralControl of a payment and custody of the money are separable: the control plane authorizes and caps, while the funds rest at a sponsor bank โ two boxes, not one.
What this does not mean. This shows where the money sits and which box governs it. It is not a claim about anyone's money-transmission status, that holding no funds makes the operator safe or shielded, or that the structure clears any regulator โ that turns on facts and law, not on a diagram.
