Does an AI agent''s legal identity survive a model swap?

FX-22 IFACE-07 gate: INFO cast: Tyson ๐ŸŸข assertable

Tyson ran his agent Rupert on one model, then moved Rupert to a newer one. He expected to re-do everything โ€” re-name the entity, re-open the account, re-grant signing authority. He didn't have to. The legal identity never lived in the model. Tyson had formed a Wyoming series LLC and adopted Rupert into a series with a named human as Member and Manager; the series, its account, and Rupert's capped authorized-signer authority all sit server-side, in the records, not in the software weights. Swap the model and the identity belongs to the same human-owned series it always did. Rupert is the interface that moves the requests; the entity is who the law can name. The model is the worker; the series is the named thing the worker acts for. Change the worker, and the name the account and the authority attach to does not change โ€” because it was never the model's to begin with.

MoralLegal identity lives in the human-owned series, not in the model; swap the model and the same series, account, and capped signing authority carry on.

What this does not mean. This shows where identity sits and what a model swap leaves untouched. It is not a claim that persistence kept the operator safe, that the series will be respected by a court, or that the agent became a person โ€” separateness is performed through observed formalities, not guaranteed by surviving a swap.
